little changes, big impact

When listing your home, I like to do little changes that potential buyers will LOVE. When we first saw our home before we purchased it, one of our (or my) first thoughts was “damn, that backsplash is unfortunate!!”. I definitely knew it would be an item we would have to change before listing our house to sell. Also little things like the front door color, fresh house numbers, and updated outdoor light fixtures can really set the tone for the showing of your home. Below are some of our before and after photos!

from this- to that!

In this area, we updated the area by tearing out the tile countertop & outdated backsplash. (p.s. its rare that tile countertops are a good idea.. lets just not.) We added a laminate marble countertop we bought in stock at Lowes, then finished off the space with a classic but modern subway tile that had movement and texture.

the power of lighting

This is the old light fixture, I felt that the style of it wasn’t truly reflecting the style of our home.

This is the new light, more modern but yet a classic style!!

The front door, it is the first impression of your home. We took this bright door (that felt so out of place with this beautiful brick) and decided to go with a color that complemented the brick, it pulled out the colors of the darker tones and just felt more natural to the style of the home. Adding modern house numbers, a new light fixture and those funky planters was the just what our house needed to add to its curb appeal!!

p.s. After the much needed update, we had multiple neighbors thanks us for the new curb appeal! This was a low budget update, with a big impact.
